In the financial year 1999-2000, Anandwan produced more than 440,000 bricks, valued at Rs. 450,000. These bricks are also larger in size compared to normal fired bricks and are, therefore, much more convenient to use. The Mitrangan complex shown below has been built using these bricks. Another unique feature of its construction is the use of Nubian vaults to form the roof of the building. These vaults economize a great deal on the use of cement and steel.
